Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling various floor types. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the top models integrate with your smartphone. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, create schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, creating maps of floors and rooms.
When I tried the S1, it was able to map the downstairs area, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, along with carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult navigating down the stairs in one go. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or carpets.
After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills the water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be cleaned, although it will differ based on how much you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working efficiently. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is an efficient solution for cleaning. Its robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with a number unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it instead of simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station if required.

Mopping capabilities are excellent and include a pair of mop pads that can lift and scrub the floor, rather than just moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation when needed. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our test's most soiled areas efficiently, while eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush which automatically swings out in order to reach hard-to-reach areas, and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can move from one room to another without having to change direction. This is beneficial for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors, however, and tends to leave a thick space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is simple and well-organized. It should be simple to use for novice and experienced users. 4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of removing debris and dirt however, it's not able to get every last bit of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum once a week, especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to accomplish exactly that. It's easy to connect to your WiFI network at home and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, such as the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't have mopping capabilities, and also has an aluminum body.
Despite losing the ability to mop floors, the Q5 still has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also features a smart app that lets you set your floor's type and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring, with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt, and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we test that didn't have issues with high-pile carpets or area rugs, but it couldn't pick up kitty litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that allows it to reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums cannot. The device also collects dust in a bigger dustbin that means you have to empty it less often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters that further lower the expenses associated with using the device. The robot can recognize carpets, and boost suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you want to be able to keep from using the app.
